How to Make Your Apartment Unique

Let me start this post off by saying that decorating is SO personal. Everyone has different tastes, different budgets and a different space to work with.
For me, I have a very farmhouse meets modern meets boho vibe in my apartment. I am a college student so I can't spend a ton and I live in an older apartment. With all of that being said, there are some pieces that I have that I think anyone could benefit from! In my opinion, these pieces will also make your apartment completely unique.

My roommate last year was a senior so she wasn't interested in decorating the common areas, which meant I had free reign to do whatever I wanted in terms of decorating! Since I had to start from literal scratch, I learned quickly that one of the keys to decorating is to pick a couple basic colors and then build on top of those. For me, I knew moving in that I was going to have a white sofa, a black coffee table and a black cow hide rug. I also knew that I could reach a doctors office look if I kept it so neutral. So here are some tips/additions that will make your apartment completely unique to you & are budget friendly!

Life Update

Hi Friends...it's been quite a while since I've posted on here.
If you've been following me for a while, you know that I always go in spurts of posting a lot or not posting at all and truly this little spurt lasted longer than I intended it to.

To be honest with you, I didn't even want this break to happen. Time truly got away from me and now I'm typing on a blog that hasn't been posted on in 5 months. I'm so sorry for leaving you guys hanging!

Had my very last bid day with DG! :(

*Throughout this post are a few pictures from the last 5 months just incase you forgot what I look like :) *

At Home Manicure That Lasts & Heals

There are few things that make me feel more put together than having my nails done. I LOVE looking down at my hands and seeing perfectly polished nails staring back at me. What I don't love? The fact that I can't help but peel off the gel polish after about 10 days and seeing my brittle, peeling nails... I realllllyyyy don't love that.

So in order to start healing my nails (and save money as a bonus!) I decided to start painting my own nails at home. I used to all the time in high school and got pretty good at it, so I thought it would be fun to find the perfect routine that made my polish last, while also healing my nails.

You guys know by now that Katey McFarlan is my freaking girl. I will buy anything she recommends because a) I love her that much and b) trust what she says.
So a few months back when she posted about a nail routine that she was using, I immediately wrote down all of the products that she mentioned because I knew one day I'd be fed up with my weak,
post - gel nails.
