Hey Everyone!
If you're like me, then your lipstick tends to slip off your lips as soon as you take a sip of something.
With that being said, I wanted to share with you guys some of my tips and tricks on how to make your lipstick last longer!
Step 1) Exfoliate your lips! I like to use Lush Sweet Lips. It has a really yummy flavor and does a great job on sloshing off all of the dead skin cells on your lips! If you exfoliate your lips, you're lipstick won't look cracked and dry - therfore your lipstick won't flake off.
Step 2) Moisturize! I love to use the aquaphor heeling ointment! This stuff is amazing and so incredibly moisturizing. You can get this stuff at any drugstore! I would let this absorb into my lips for about 3 minutes, just so it can set in. You never want to exfoliate any part of your body without moisturizing afterwards!
Step 3) Lipliner! If you apply lipliner all over your lips, it will act as the glue for the lipstick!
Step 4) Apply your lipstick all over the lipliner and make sure that you apply it carefully! You don't want your lipstick to look like a 3 year old applied it!
Step 5) Set your lipstick with a translucent powder! This will set EVERYTHING!
I hope that this post was helpful in you guys trying to make your lipstick last longer!

Books to Read : Sliding into Home
Hey Everyone!
I don't know if you guys watched "The Girls Next Door" on E, but my sister and I were obsessed with it! Particularly one charachter, Kendra Wilkinson! We always thought that she was so funny and witty.
After she left the Playboy mansion, she got her own reality show, married NFL star Hank Basket and also gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.
So about 2 years ago, she came out with a memoir that was a tell all book about her life, down to the last detail. I read this over Thanksgiving break in 8th grade. I loved it. She literally told every single detail about her life. She had a really messed up past, but she is such an amazing person.
I hope that you guys read this book! It's the most honest book I've ever read, she doesn't leave out any details.
I think that if you're going to write a memoir, you should really tell your full story, and Kendra does a great job of doing that.
Hope that you guys enjoyed this post!

Trend Alert: Lined Eyes and Nude Lips
Hey Everyone!
I wanted to a trend alert that didn't have anything to do with fashion, really makeup! The new trend is having lined eyes and nude lips!
Here are some pictures of what I mean:
I think that this look is so nice and classy. Because it really shows off your eyes and makes them pop, but also tones it down with the nude lip. I think its also especially pretty for winter, since its very simple and elegant.
What do you guys think about this trend? Let me know!

How to: Get Ready Faster in The Morning!
Hey Everyone!
Now that we are half way through the school year, I tend to start slacking in the morning and wanting to stay in bed as long as possible. So I wanted to share some tips on how you can stay in bed in the morning, but still look extra cute!
Tip #1 Have your morning skincare routine down.
Now, I am all for having a lengthy skincare routine and taking time to pamper your skin. But in the school year, I really want to get ready as fast as possible. So that's why I typically just stick with a cleanser and moisturizer when I'm in a hurry.
Tip # 2 Lay out your clothes the night before.
This will not only help you get ready faster, but it will keep from trying on a whole lot of outfits in the morning. It was also ensure that you don't slack off and end up wearing nike shorts and a t shirt.
Tip # 3 Put your hair in a braid the night before.
This will save you! It will give you really nice beachy waves the next morning - so that will save you a ton of time in the morning.
Tip #4 Keep your makeup routine fast and simple
Don't experiment or try a new eye look out. If you really want to keep it short and sweet, have your routine down to where you can get it done in about 2 minutes. Now a days, I stick to a BB cream, powder, bronzer, liquid liner and mascara!
Tip # 5 Do all of your homework the night before
We are all guilty of doing this. Not finishing your homework at night and leaving it of the next morning. If you do it at night you will not only have a more relaxed sleep, but you will also get to save time in the morning!
I hope that you guys found this post helpful!

Splurge or Save? Sunglasses
Hey Everyone!
I wanted to do another post in my splurge or save series on my blog!
So I wanted to do a post about sunglasses, because I feel like alot of people go back and forth with weather to spend or save on sunglasses.
I personally, have invested in a nice pair of sunglasses. So I think that it is nice to splurge on sunglasses, because you do get your money's worth. I wear my rayban wayfers literally every single day.
Now these retail for anywhere between $135 - $175 depending on where you buy them.
I think that it is really good to invest in sunglasses because then you get the uv/uvb protection, because your eyes are so precious.
I want to know if you would splurge or save on sunglassses! Let me know!

Book Review: Beneath The Glitter
Hey Everyone!
I wanted to do a book review today that is on Elle & Blair Fowler's new novel "Beneath the Glitter". Going into this book, I didn't have very high expectations, but after I finished it, I was VERY impressed.
If you don't know the story line, here it is:
"Welcome to the place where dreams are made. And where nothing - and no one is ever what it seems.
After their make-up and fashion videos went viral on YouTube, sister Sophia and Ava London are thrust into the exclusive life of the Los Angeles elite. Here fabulous parties, air kisses, paparazzi and hot guys all come with the scene. Sophia finds herself torn between a gorgeous bartender and a millionaire playboy, and Ava starts dating an A-list actor. But as they're about to discover, the life they've always dreamed of comes with a cost.
Beneath the glitter of the Hollywood social scene lies a world of ruthless ambition, vicious gossip...and betrayal. Someone close to them, someone they trust, is working in the shadows to bring the London sisters falling down. And once the betrayal is complete, Sophia and Ava find themselves knee-deep in a scandal that could take away everything they care about, including the one thing that matters most - each other."
I think that the story line is really great. I like that it is loosely based on their lives, but a lot more dramatic. I thought that the girls did a really good job in balancing their working life and their social life in the book and making it all very interesting.
Personally, I found that the first quarter of the book was slow, but once they started interacting with the boys in the book, it became a lot more captivating. Also, I really enjoyed the ending. I don't think that I have ever read a book that left that much of a cliff hanger, but in a good way! I can't wait until Summer 2013 when the second book gets released.
I would definitely rate the book a 8 out of 10. Good job Fowler sisters!
I hope that you guys enjoyed this book review and I hope that you read this book, it truly is great.
