Hey Everyone!
I haven't posted on here in forever, and I feel like I'm starting every video & blogpost with that statement, which frankly makes me really sad.
I thought the perfect way to start off my 2016 blogging adventure, would be to share what my biggest goals are for 2016. It's funny though, because I actually tried to film a video about this last night, but the entire time I thought that it would make a perfect blogpost, so here I am :))
Making goals and making things a priority in your life is something that is very important to me. I've done a couple of posts on the importance of doing these things, because it is something that I am so passionate about.
I'm kind of OCD when it comes to setting New Years resolutions though, because I don't want to start doing them until literally January 1st of whatever year it is. I honestly look forward to making resolutions each year, and I try to keep them realistic, concise & important.
What I mean by those three things is that I don't want to say "make straight a's, go to bed before midnight & drink eight glasses of water a day" because after 18 years, I know myself better then that. I'm an "A" and "B" student, I'm a total night owl & I'm too much of a coke fan to drink that much water a day. See what I mean?
When I say concise, I want to keep my resolutions straight to the point. When I go to write down my resolutions I don't want them to read "I would very much like to get into a routine of reading a devotional everyday. I would also like to read the bible & bond with God more." Instead of all that, I could simply just say "Spend more time with your boy Jesus."
Not that your resolutions are never not important, but I think they need to be something that you've struggled with for the last few months or specifically in that year. I normally set about three or four resolutions that are really important to me and have been heavy on my heart for the year.
So now the moment of truth, here are my New Years resolutions for 2016!!
1) Spend more time with God. Strive to make him my number one priority.
2) Become the best version of myself that I can be.
3) Treat blogging & YouTube like it is my job; make it a part of my routine.
4) Less bullshit, more fun.
5) Be more mindful of what you eat. Less burgers, more grilled chicken. Less coke, more water.
There are my new years resolutions and tips to make them more effective! I hope that you guys found this helpful. I would love to hear your resolutions, so tweet them to me @FashionandM321
xoxo,
Abbey
