How My Uploading/Blogging Schedule Works!

Hello Everyone!

I am currently sitting in bed, all body butter-ed up and starting to plan out my week in the YouTube/blogging world. I figured that I would share with you how I plan out my uploading/blogging schedule, because it truly has helped me keep up with my uploading every five days and blogging every Wednesday routine.

At the beginning of 2015, I made my YouTube and my blog my biggest New Years resolution. I have always had a passion for all things beauty and fashion, but I was struggling to find a balance between my personal life and my online life. It wasn't until I came up with this method that things started falling into place. For those of you that are bloggers or YouTubers and are struggling to find a method in the madness, I think that this could really help you and it's so simple.

The first step in finding your balance, is deciding what works for you. A few months ago I was doing the "uploading every three days" thing and it was just way too much. It wasn't fun for me because it felt so forced. At the beginning of the year I started thinking about what could really work for me and that was uploading every five days. I found that having a consistent uploading schedule is what really worked for me, instead of just uploading on a whim.

I have always loved writing, so I wanted to make sure that I incorporated my blog into that routine as well. For me, blogging is kind of harder because I have to come up with a topic that makes for a post that will be fun for someone to read. Where as videos, people can have it playing as they do whatever they please. For my blog, I decided that uploading once a week, in the middle of the week is what worked best for me. I liked that I could have one really great blogpost per week, instead of a bunch that were just a couple paragraphs.

Once I decided what my uploading/blogging schedule was going to be, it was time to write it all down. I'm a very organized person, so having something that tells me when I need to have things done really helps me. So at the beginning of every month I like to write all of my video ideas and blogging ideas out.

For videos, I count out five days from each other so that everything is consistent and then I always have the last video be a favorites video, because I really want to get better at posting those. I highlight both the videos and the blogposts once they have been uploaded/published.

Then at the bottom of the page, I list out what blogposts I want to publish. I try to come up with topics that will make for lengthy posts, because those are my favorites to write out. I try to make my blogs similar to my videos, in that they are my creative outlet and I try to make them enjoyable for myself and my readers.

At the very, very bottom of the page, I keep two sticky notes. One for my favorites of the month, so I can write them down as I fall in love with something and one for videos or blogposts that I've thought of for the next month.

With all of that being said, for me, I like to pre film and pre write on Sundays. I typically get my blog all written out and ready to go out on Sundays and then post them on Wednesdays. As for my videos, I like to pre film them on Sundays and then edit them throughout the week. If I have time on Sundays, then I will edit them, but I don't pressure myself. Sometimes if I am bored editing, I will try to finish it too quickly and then it wont turn out how I want it to.

Now of course some things will happen where I won't stick to my exact uploading schedule or if I decide that I'd rather do another video, then I will change it, but this entire schedule really helps me stay focused and organized when it comes to my online life.

I hope that you guys enjoyed this post and that it helped you in some way, especially if you are a blogger or YouTuber!

Beauty Blender vs Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge! + Giveaway

Hello Everyone!

This blogpost marks my 100th entry on this blog - wow! I started this such a long time ago and to see how far my posts have come and how my blog is starting to get to where I want it to be, is definitely exciting! Stay tuned until the end of this post for a little 100th blogpost giveaway! :)

I apologize for this post being a day late, my house recently had a really bad leak, so there have been fans EVERYWHERE that were so loud, I couldn't even hear myself think. That is why this post is late because I couldn't focus long enough to write it. Thankfully, today marked the last day of the fans from hell - YAY!

Anyways, lets go on with this blogpost. I decided that something that I haven't seen a lot of videos/blogposts on is comparing the Beauty Blender with the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge. I have used both a very good amount of times, so I figured that I would be a good person to tell you which one is better.

For starters, they both have the same concepts. You run them under the faucet, getting them fairly wet and then you ring all of the water out of them, revealing a much bigger and bouncier sponge. The wetness of the sponge is supposed to make your makeup look more natural and applier better.

These sponges have a big price difference, hence why I think you should do your research before purchasing one of them. The Beauty Blender retails for $19.95 at Sephora and the Real Techniques one retails for $5.99 and can be purchased at Ulta.

When I was making my decision on which one I was going to buy, I googled it. I found a video reviewing them both and the person that I watched, liked the Real Techniques sponge better. Obviously I was going to go with that one because if it was better, why would I buy a much more expensive one?

I purchased mine at Utla back in August and instantly loved it. The shape is very nice, in that the flat edge allows you to press on whatever product you are using it for seamlessly. It also has a pointier end that is good for focusing on the smaller areas of your face, like the corners of your nose and your under eyes.

As time went on, I realized that my makeup was starting to absorb into the sponge. Even when I would clean it, the stain wouldn't come out. Now this didn't bother me as I didn't see it as a drastic thing, but overtime that gets annoying thinking that you've lost product along the way.

Fast forward to early January, when I was at Sephora, I saw the Beauty Blender in the little checkout area and thought to myself "why not pick it up? Everyone raves about it, you might as well try it" so into my basket it went.

First thing the next day, I applied the same amount of CC cream that I always do on the back of my hand and picked it up lightly with the rounded end of the Beauty Blender. As I started pressing it into my skin, I instantly noticed a difference. It was so much bouncier and lighter than the Real Techniques sponge and it seemed to make my CC cream look like just another layer of skin.

The shape of the Real Techniques sponge never bothered me until I tried to go back to it. The slanted edge seemed so unnecessary to me and the Beauty Blender's shape just made so much more sense. It was such a seamless application and there was no comparison.

As you can probably guess by my raving review about the Beauty Blender, I obviously prefer it. If you are just starting out with makeup however, you should buy the Real Techniques sponge. It does the job pretty dang well and you cannot beat the price. For me however, it just wasn't cutting it any more. The Beauty Blender is such an amazing product and I never notice my products getting absorbed into it or the sponge starting to tear as I've noticed the Real Techniques one has.

I will be giving away one Beauty Blender to a completely random person that enters. I want everyone to experience this amazing sponge, because it truly has made a difference in my makeup application.

What's On My Keys?!

Hey Everyone!

So I was driving the other day thinking about blogpost ideas and it hit me…what's on my keys? Now you may think that this is weird, but I love looking at other peoples keychains and seeing what they have on them, so I figured that this would make the perfect blogpost!

Below is an overall picture of what my keys look like!

#1 Kate Spade Key Chain Wallet

I couldn't find my exact one, but I found a really similar Kate Spade one here. I purchased mine this past summer at the Kate Spade outlet and I have loved it ever since. I got mine on a great deal too, $40 when it was originally $80! I love the bright pink leather and the faded gold hardware. I'm really weird about gold hardware, so I really like how this gold can almost pass as silver.

This is what the front of the key chain looks like. It has white stitching, which I personally love because I think it looks so elegant.

The inside of it opens up like this and closes with a snap. In the very front pocket I keep my debit card. What I love about this key chain wallet is how much storage it has. You will see in the next pictures that it has a lot of different pockets within it, which my other key chain wallet by Tory Burch didn't have.

The inside has a zipper compartment for your change and 2 other pockets for whatever you choose to keep in it. The back compartment is where I keep my cash and any gift cards that I have on me at the moment. The zipper compartment actually doesn't hold change very well, so I choose to just keep my pocket angel in there so that easy it is always with me and doesn't fall out. If you don't know what a pocket angel is, you can read about it here. Then in the front compartment I keep my insurance cards, because you never know when you're going to need to go to the doctor!

On the backside of the wallet there are 2 more pockets, one for other cards and then one for your ID. In the first pocket, that is where I keep my stamp cards. You know, the "buy 8 smoothies, get one free"… those cards.

Please excuse my horrid license picture, but here is the slot where you keep your license. I like how it is clear, so you can just show it to someone instead of taking it out. It is also a tight enough compartment to where it won't fall out.

#2 Flashlight Keychain

This is a little flashlight that my grandma, Mema, gave me for Christmas. You just twist the top of it and the light comes on. Typically I use my flashlight on my iPhone, but I just put this on my keychain because it reminds me of her!

#3 Car Key

The third thing on my keys is my actual car key - the entire purpose of having a keychain! I drive a Hyundai Tuscon named Penelope, who I got for my 16th birthday almost 2 years ago…CRAZY! But I have a push-to-start and keyless entry car, so that is why my key doesn't actually have a key attached to it!

#4 House Key

The most boring thing on my keychain is probably my house key. It looks like any other house key, but I need to have it just incase of emergencies!

#5 Coach Keychain

This is my favorite thing on my keychain. It is a hot pink Coach poodle key chain. I got her for Christmas about 6 years ago when I was living overseas and desperately missing my miniature poodle, Lucy. So in order for me to be with "her" everyday, my mom got me this! I carry it on my keychain and now Lucy really is with me both in real life and in key chain life, lol!

#6 Keychain Wristlet

Now the sixth and final thing on my keychain and probably the most practical, is my keychain wristlet thing from This is my second one of these, because my first one I designed to match my Tory Burch keychain wallet and I ordered this one to match my Kate Spade keychain wallet. These are great because if you are like me and just like to carry your keys and phone with you, then you can just slide this on your wrist and you don't have to worry about setting them down or anything. There are tons of different colors, patters, letters on their website, so make sure you go check them out. You can design your own here. Mine is the black belt with black and white chevron ribbon and a hot pink curlz font letter.

I hope that you guys liked this post! I think that it was different and something that I had never seen before!

I would love to know what you guys carry on your keychain, so tweet me a picture @FashionandM321
