What To Do With Your Second Day Curls!

Hey Everyone!

I feel AWFUL that I haven't blogged in what seems like forever (and it technically has been). I took a break from both YouTube and blogging, but I started uploading again and wanted to start blogging again!

P.S. I am currently listening to my "throwback" playlist and jamming to the JoBros and life couldn't be sweeter.
P.S.S. This post is also 4 days late, but YOLO.

Today we will be discussing what to do with your second day curls. I personally think that sometimes curls look better the next day, because as gross as this sounds, the grease in your hair makes your hair have more texture and overall looking more tousled.

For me, I think that you have two options when it comes to wearing your second day curls and still rocking them.

Option #1

Start off by brushing out your curls. I know what you're thinking, "by brushing out my hair, wouldn't I lose my curls?" NO. I used to think that too, but once I started doing it, it made such a difference. It just smoothes it all down and overall makes it look like you just curled your hair.

Next, use dry shampoo. Everyone has a different favorite, but my current favorite is the Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo. I received this in my March Boxycharm box and have fallen in love. I've used other dry shampoos and this is by FAR the best. It is marketed to work instantly and add tons of crazy volume! I know practically every dry shampoo markets themselves like this, but lets be real, how many of them actually do what they say they will?

Here is a picture of my hair before I used the dry shampoo:

I look a little cray, but we're rolling with it.

Here is a picture of my hair after I used the dry shampoo:

You can see what a huge difference to my hair, overall! Also, still looking cray.

After that, all you have to do is leave to your destination!

Option #2

Start off by doing what we did in Option #1, except after your dry shampoo does it's job, grab a hair brush and hair tie. Everyone knows the classic Ariana Grande half-up, half-down look and I have discovered that it is the best way to wear your second day curls.

First you're going to want to section off the top third of your hair. I find that working with a smaller section makes it easier to achieve the "waterfall" ponytail.

Next you're going to brush the hair back, creating a very smooth, but still voluminous ponytail. After you've brushed your hair back, you're going to want to wrap your ponytail holder around your hair.

Then you're going to want to take your brush and gently tease your ponytail to where it has more volume and gets that really cute bouncy look.

Of course, I didn't get the brush in frame, but whatever. *Insert Hannah Montana's "Nobody's Perfect"

After all of that, you are left with a super cute and easy way to rock your second day curls.

I hope that you guys enjoyed this post and that it helped you figure out what to do with your second day curls and what products to use.
