Spring Break Must - Haves Part 1

First and foremost, I would just like to apologize for my little hiatus last week. I had a ton of different things going on, so a blogpost and a YouTube video just weren't going to happen. I do hope that my content this week makes up for it!

I know that for most of us, spring break is still about a month or so away but if you are a planner like me, then you are going to want to start ordering things to get yourself ready for your trip.

I think that when most people think of spring break, they instantly think of some sort of warm climate, which is completely understandable. However, I am a bit of a weirdo and have no interest in doing the typical college spring break, so I try to keep it a little different in regards to my spring break adventures. My best friends from high school and I have made a pact that we will always do spring break together...last year we went to San Fransisco & this year it is Telluride, Colorado!

I am breaking my guide up into two different parts because I want to cater to two different groups - the beach babes and the snow bunnies. This first guide is for the beach bunnies because I think that is what the average person does for spring break!

Bikini/One Piece

I say bikini/one piece because I think there is something so cool about rocking a one piece. My best friend Katie wears them all the time and I just think she totally pulls them off. The one above is definitely on my wish list.

If you are staying in a hotel, chances are their towels will not be that long, so half of your body will be laying in the sand getting nasty. This is the perfect time to invest in a cute, huge beach towel. You can thank me later.

I get overheated really easily (anyone else?) so I think having some sort of tumbler is a must when going to the beach. I am so partial to my Yeti because it really does keep things cold for so long! They also come in a lot of colors now, so you don’t have to feel so redneck if you don’t want to, but since I am from Texas I kind of like to ;)

This is so obvious, but it is so so so important to protect your skin from the sun! Please just get a spray tan and avoid laying out for hours on end. Of course a little Vitamin D isn’t going to hurt anyone, but ladies, lets not overdo it. I recommend the Neutrogena SPF 100 because that means it last over an hour! It is also really important to get a face moisturizer with SPF that will protect your face really well but also won’t clog your pores or make you greasy. I love the Simple SPF moisturizer.

If you don’t own a pari of Rainbow flip flops, I don’t know what you are doing with your life. I have had my same pair since junior year of high school and they are hands down my favorite flip flops I have ever owned. You can wear them out to dinner after the beach with your friends or down to the pool. They are super durable and don’t get all nasty when wet or covered with sand.

When it comes to the beach, I think that the bigger your sunglasses are, the better. They will protect a bigger area of your face and also make you look really glamorous. I adore my Céline sunglasses, but would never in a million years wear them down to the beach — I would be way too scared that something would happen! These sunglasses are the perfect dupe for my Céline sunglasses and are perfect for the beach because they give off that glamorous vibe.

I hope that this little guide helped all of my beach babes out there! Be sure to check back next Monday for my post catering to my fellow snow bunnies!
